I am SO proud to announce that Familiar Dolls has its first gallery show! From now until the end of July, go see my paper-mache on display as part of the Little Hahas + Baby Otterjets art show at Golden Belt Arts in Durham, NC! Woo hoo! I was cordially invited to participate by Michelle and Rose of Haha Bonbon, who make incredible textile art. In addition to Haha Bonbon, I am thrilled to be showing my art alongside my friends at Paige Boy Studio (who make stained glass that I’m a huge fan of!) and Tim Thayer (who is a brilliant painter!)! YAY!
My paper-mache wall art will be on display in the gallery from July 1st-30th. You can stop by anytime. When you enter Golden Belt Arts, the main gallery room is through the doors and directly to your right. All of the work that you see is available for purchase via a QR code. Just buy the art and mark the sheet with a little “sold” sticker. We ask that you leave the art hanging until the end of July, and pick up on the 30th and 31st so that others may enjoy the art all month.
There is also a reception where you can come visit with me and my art together! Please join me and my art friends at the Third Friday gallery crawl from 6-9pm on Friday, July 17th (Golden Belt Arts – 800 Taylor Street, Durham, NC 27701). We are all local artists who try really hard so come out and see us!
This is my first gallery show and I am extremely excited and very honored to be asked. Thank you so much for your patience while I’ve had my store on hold as a result of preparing for it! It’ll be back up in August. I hope to see you all at the reception in July!
